Feather Factory Hotel Queens NY

The room was exactly as it was shown in the pictures — a queen bed room was perfect for 2 people, the A/C worked great, bathroom was great, and everything was spotless when we arrived. The lobby is quaintly decorated and clean, too. Staff was nice and helpful, fast check-out, free coffee and tea in the morning, and they even threw in a complimentary breakfast. Hotel is located in a fairly quiet area when it comes to crowds/car traffic, but I will note that it is next to lots of train tracks so if you sleep lightly that may be an issue (but it wasn’t for us at all). Fairly priced room, easy to drive to/get around, and there is plenty of free street parking (free 7pm to 7am then metered outside those hours, but very cheap) right outside the hotel doors. Great experience and would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

The hotel staff was soooo adorable + the man preparing the breakfast was a sweetheart!!! Overall good experience, but as the other comments said, the train was super loud. Also the neighborhood seems safe but it's not pretty whatsoever. Good deal for new york I'd say

The room was comfortable. The shower was hot. The bed was a little firm. We were on the side street and the noise from the trains did not bother us. It probably would of been fine on the train track side. I can see people who are are not from busy roads having trouble sleeping though. We dropped off our luggage before check in and came back at night and checked in at night and didn't have to pay extra. The room size was what you would expect for New York. The subway station is about 10 minutes away.

Great, friendly staff especially the cooks. Clean rooms, house service does a good job. Not much to choose from for breakfast but food is made right in front of you and it's tasty. Great view over the Manhattan from room and breakfast arena on the top floor. Pretty nice 10 min walk to the metro station. Pretty loud train station nearby tho. All in all great place for the price for how close you are to Manhattan.

This was my favorite hotel experience yet. This hotel was sooo accommodating for my group. Armani was so kind, patient, and willing to help. Our flight landed hours before check in but they let us store our luggage so we could go explore the town without hauling it everywhere. They also let us store our luggage again on check out day since our flight didn’t leave until 11 pm, so that allowed us a full day to explore again without hauling luggage. They also have complimentary coffee and tea in the lobby and allowed us to wait in there for awhile before check in and made sure we were comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was the best I’ve ever had. Buffet style breakfast cooked to order so it’s fresh, and the views are amazing. Bacardi was our chef for the majority of our stay and he was EXCELLENT! so friendly and welcoming. This hotel is a quick subway ride into the city and it’s an excellent option if that’s what you’re looking to do. Also our room had a beautiful view of the city and right next to the subway. I didn’t mind hearing the trains all night but it might bother some people. Overall would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend. Also we felt safe the entire time and took both nearby subways at night. Just be safe and aware of your surroundings and always have a buddy<3

Love this hotel! It’s a great value. Breakfast is cooked to order by a chef in its top floor breakfast room. It’s a tiny bit off the beaten path from LIC, but that only involves a few extra minutes of walking from one of the LIC stations. (That’s because of all the train lines that run through this area.) It’s in a more industrial area that is quiet (no street noise or many people)at night. Street parking is ample. Tip: If you stay in the area, Gantry State Park (Pepsi sign) has the best views of Manhattan at night.

As my first hotel experience in the United States, I can confidently say I’m very happy with my stay at Feather Factory Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff were friendly and always willing to help at any hour, which made our stay much more comfortable. The breakfast service, while offering a specific set of options, was very pleasant. The staff serving breakfast were consistently kind and welcoming, which made a great impression. Our room was spotless—clean, comfortable, and with no complaints whatsoever. The hotel is also well-located. A tip for those using public transportation: it's better to walk to the right side toward the school, as the area is very calm and safe. We even walked around late at night with no issues at all. Additionally, the hotel has a small convenience store that’s well-stocked—perfect for last-minute needs. Both check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free. All in all, an excellent experience. I would definitely stay here again.

The people running this low-frills boutique hotel are friendly, fun and welcoming. The rooms are spacious with everything you need for a comfortable night - small fridge, safe, ice bucket, soap/lotion/shampoo. It’s clean and updated, but it’s not fussy or fancy. It’s a good price point for NYC, and it’s relatively quiet inside the rooms. There is also a small DIY shop with food and supplies that is surprisingly inclusive and inexpensive with items ranging from phone chargers and cold meds to sandwiches and different types of spring water. The rooms on the higher floors are a little quieter, as the first floor is the same as the lobby, so you do hear a little hallway noise as people are coming and going. Additionally, there’s a nice coffee and tea spread in the lobby, and the hotel has WiFi. For the price point, this place is an unsung hero in the city. It’s easy to get around via Uber/Lyft, and it’s about a 10 min walk to the closest subway. It’s also very convenient to LGA.
